Poetry

I was just working quite innocently today, when suddenly a poetry rush came, so now I'm all dreamy and stuff... wasting time... so I thought that I'd update this lovely little blog of mine:)

tonight I'm going to 'Mella's' house!!

we are going to start up a poetry club for our own poetry, and others...I can't wait!!
We seem to understand each other, even when we are saying completely different things:)

I've made an official decision; as soon as I get hold of some black, a4, lined, hardback, ringbinder notebooks (I'm not fussy!!) I'm going to organise and copy out my poetry...I will make sure they're as chronological as possible, but they're going to be in different chunks/sections (eg I've recently written quite a few war poems...). Oooh! I can't wait to organise it all - it's so weird, but I feel as if I'm finding something new out about myself everytime I read one of my poems...

Mr William Shakespeare

Just had to share at least part of the amazing play of Othello that we're doing in English at the moment!:

'Farewell the tranquil mind! farewell content!
Farewell the plumed troop and the big wars
That make ambition virtue! O, farewell!
Farewell the neighing steed and the shrill trump,
The spirit-stirring drum, the ear-piercing fife,
The royal banner, and all quality,
Pride, pomp, and circumstance of glorious war!
Othello, 3. 3'

Try saying that out loud to yourself -
It sounds so magnificent and pompous!!

Oh, for the holidays!

I can't wait to actually get into a juicy book, and just read it all night, until I finish it!

I'm planning to read 'Ragged Trousered Philanthropists';
a book recommended by my tutor, but actually rather humourous:)

watched one of those crackly, jerky films in history today, where the same man speaks like a general...I love those films! They make me feel that I want to be there, even with Hitler or Mussolini, just to be part of the fascinating history of our nation!

Not that I'm at all enthusiastic...*coughcough*

Tuesday

Sitting in the library, eating chocolate buttons...

I'm in the desperate state of being just 3 days from the holidays, but feeling like I'm about to trip over the edge before they come (in terms of work and sleep I mean, not literally!)...

j'ai beaucoup d'envie d'ĂȘtre avec ma famille et de dĂ©fouler!!

well, my school concert calls...
