poem

A new poem...

A heart strains at the entangling

cord which binds it to the source.

A splutter of a heart.beat. breaks through the

morning into worlds of new light. This

chain rattles and clanks in the dark surroundings

of the dungeon, and the orange earth fills

the cage with hate.

  1. I think that, perhaps, we overexaggerate the coversations we have and the reactions they make in our mind. Well, of course we do, but for some reason, this past week has been especially odd. People have been odd. :)

I'm guessing that it's the gloom of returning to school (properly returning, I mean) that's got everyone having shit-fits all over the place. Or having to work hard everyday, just so that the holiday will finally arrive. A holiday that's never long enough. Typically.

And you bring lovely conversation to us all. :) I mean it. While everyone is bitching about one another (because conversation tends to run dry when you've said all you can possibly say to another person) you jump in with your witchy/pirate face and fruitychuckle real genuine-loike. (If you haven't been on FB recently - that'll sound weird. :D).

I love your poem. I love the image of an "orange world". Livid, dry, humid. Suffocating in a way that the "cord" or - maybe - the constraints of society never could be. Nature rebelling. Gene, DNA kinda thing. Mayhaps. :)

Yousa pretty. ^^ (Don't forget it schmushy face.)

I'm glad you like the poem; it's kind of about anger and frustration, and not being able to work things out because everythng's piling on you at once!

    I love you
